The château de Villemonteix is a fine example of a 15th century castle and you can enjoy a guided tour through furnished rooms decorated with numerous tapestries.
Next stop is 13th century, Chénérailles where you can see the heyday of Lusignan, these counts were powerful benefactors. Children are entertained with a game as you progress round the village, a medieval quest on the trail of a mysterious parchment.
